The seed of yoga was planted for Laura way back in high school, though it wasn’t until many years later that it profoundly took root. She began to actively seek out a path towards living peacefully in the world, which led her to Moksha Yoga Halifax in 2011. It was love at first breath. On that day the little seed began to blossom, and she travelled to Montreal in 2013 to embark on the first 500 hours of her yoga teacher training. Along with the incredibly therapeutic nature of the Moksha sequence, Laura resonates deeply with the seven pillars that Moksha was built on and has found them to be powerful vehicles for change and growth in every aspect of life.
Laura‘s intention as a teacher is to provide a safe space for students to connect with their own inner compass in an environment that is both nurturing and playful; reminding us all to live fully and joyfully, and to follow the path of our own hearts in every moment, on and off the mat. She believes in the healing power of touch, and offers safe and intuitive hands on adjustments to further foster the connection of mind~body~spirit.
With over 650 hours of yoga teacher training + countless hours of self study and practice, Laura shares from her own experiences but also encourages students to explore their own inner wisdom, and to embody the Moksha pillar ‘be peace’ with breath awareness, conscious movement, and mindfulness.
Laura teaches Moksha, Moksha Flow, Yin, and Yogassage. She looks forward to breathing and growing with you in the hot room.
